Enjoy a peaceful and scenic retreat in the heart of the mountains in Alaska.
Nestled in the stunning Matanuska Valley, Palmer offers a peaceful yet powerful setting for deep inner work. With glacier-fed rivers, dramatic mountains, and wide-open skies, this small town delivers big healing energy.
Enjoy small-town charm, local markets, panoramic hikes like the Bodenburg Butte, and wide-open space to breathe deeply and reflect. Learn more: visitpalmer.com
If you're arriving from the continental U.S., plan to fly into Anchorage International Airport (ANC) your main hub into Alaska. Most major airlines fly direct from hubs like Seattle, Denver, and Minneapolis. Palmer is a scenic 1-hour drive from Anchorage.
Travel Tip: We strongly recommend arriving at least 2 days before the retreat begins. Give yourself time to:
Adjust to the 4-hour time difference
Acclimate to the cooler, drier climate
Recover from travel fatigue
Ease into the pace and energy of the retreat experience.
Anchorage is the perfect place to land gently. Walk the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, or enjoy a fresh meal by the water. Learn more: anchorage.net
Alaska in September is a hidden gem:
Fewer tourists and more serenity
Crisp spring air, increasing temps, and fresh mountain views
Northern Lights often begin to appear after mid-September
Wildlife is still active, and moose, bears, and eagles are commonly spotted
Pack warm layers, light rain coat, hiking boots or shoes (if you plan on going on hikes while in Alaska), a light easy to pack down jacket, gloves, and a hat. September weather can vary from 35-60°F, while still staying pretty dry.
Before or after your retreat, rent a vehicle and take a trip to Seward, a coastal town 2.5 hours south of Anchorage by car. Known for epic scenery and ocean wildlife. Extend your trip with:
Wildlife boat tours: spot whales, puffins, and sea lions
Halibut fishing charters: reel in a once in a lifetime catch
Hikes to Exit Glacier and kayaking Resurrection Bay
Explore Seward here: seward.com
We recommend allowing at least two days to rest after the retreat ends. Some favorite spots to unwind include:
Alyeska Resort: 4-star hotel with sweeping mountain views
Nordic Spa: Experience hot-cold therapy in nature
Cozy Airbnbs across Girdwood, Palmer, or Anchorage
Book here: alyeskaresort.com ; anordicspa.com
The easiest way to reach the retreat center is by rental car.
From Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), take the Glenn Highway (AK-1) north toward Palmer. The drive takes approximately 45–50 minutes and is an easy, well-maintained route.
Along the way, you'll travel beside the Knik River and enjoy breathtaking views of Pioneer Peak and the Chugach Mountains; a beautiful introduction to Alaska's natural beauty.
The retreat center is located just outside Palmer. For privacy and security, the exact address will be provided to all registered participants after payment is received.
If you'd like assistance coordinating rideshares with other attendees, we're happy to help connect participants before the retreat.
We've taken care of almost everything you'll need for the retreat. Simply bring your clothing, toiletries, medications, and any personal items that help you feel comfortable and at home.
We recommend packing comfortable, layered clothing. Fall in Alaska can be beautiful but unpredictable, with temperatures ranging from crisp autumn days to winter-like conditions, especially in the mornings and evenings.
Warm layers, a jacket, comfortable walking shoes, and a hat are highly recommended.
During the retreat, you may also notice fluctuations in body temperature, so wearing layers that are easy to add or remove is ideal.
Once you're registered, we'll send a detailed packing list along with additional information to help you prepare for your time with us.
For privacy reasons, we refrain from publicly sharing the retreat location or identifying details about the retreat space. However, once you have applied, we'll show you your room options. Once you're officially registered, we'll send you the location address.
We offer healthy, vegan-friendly, organic foods with a few post-journey sugary treats. Everyone is welcome to bring their favorite snacks to share. If you need accomodations for allergies, please let us know on the intake form. You are also welcome to bring your own food items if needed.
Your name goes on the wait list and we'll process the applications in the order they are received. Adrianne will get in touch with you about room options available. Then you'll go through an intake process and submit payment. YOUR SPOT IS NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL INTAKE & PAYMENT ARE PROCESSED.
No. Once your registration is complete, it is non-refundable.
We've got you. Once you've filled out your in-depth intake form that goes deeper into your medical history and life experiences, you will meet with Adrianne 1:1 to co-create your ceremony experience. At that time, she will answer any outstanding questions you may have.
We started Sacred Rebels Thriving to provide guidance for those seeking alternative paths to healing and wholeness. Psychedelics provided a significant role in our healing journeys, but the real results came from acclimating and integrating ceremonial insights into our daily lives.
Our mission is to find "the others" who want to get beyond healing and feel ALIVE again. With two decades of coaching experience and 100+ journeys under our belts, we help people turn their awakening experiences into real, lasting change. Whether you've worked with psychedelics, explored deep personal growth, or simply feel called to live more consciously, we want to help you bring the extraordinary into the everyday.
